Meet Bill & Troy

Smoke & Fire Forge was Bill’s grand idea! A skilled fabricator, welder, blacksmith and bladesmith, Bill has well over 60 years working with metal and is loaded with limitless knowledge and skill. He has made countless knives, specializing in damascus steel blades. Bill is also a trailblazer in the metalworking industry. As co-creator and patent holder for the process to make titanium damascus called “Timascus”, he has quite literally done it all!

Troy has worked as a scientist, teacher, photographer and farmer. A lifelong artist and craftsman, he has a sharp eye for detail and the skill to take an idea and make it reality. Troy built a permaculture farm and homestead where he simultaneously fell in love with growing healthy clean food and the art of blacksmithing. He loves bringing the two together by making beautiful kitchen items in the workshop and delicious meals in the kitchen.
